Unstructured data with The Forge

What you'll accomplish: Run a Forge job on a zip archive and land structured results in bronze.

Before you start

• A zip file prepared for your use case (see Preparing zip datasets for image/text folder layouts)

Steps

1. Open Forge in the app.
2. Create a job and upload your zip.
3. Wait for the job to complete — progress is shown in the job panel.
4. When finished, open Data — a new bronze table is registered for tabular output.
5. Continue with silver or gold publish as needed.

Common questions

Can I skip the Data lake and train from Forge?
For ML/Forecast training, publish gold from the Data catalog. Forge feeds bronze; it does not replace gold.
